Jaramogi Oginga Odinga was Kenya's first Vice President. Jaramogi broke with Kenyatta over land and the direction of the economy, founded the KPU, and later led the fight for multiparty democracy. Born on October 1911 in Sakwa, Bondo, Siaya County. Died on 20 January 1994 in Kisumu.
